Nominations are being accepted for the Missouri Association of Public Purchasing, Inc. Linda D. Windsor Distinguished Service, Manager and Buyer of the Year awards. The candidates must have made an outstanding impact on the public purchasing profession and made significant contributions to either their entities and/or MAPP. Awards will be given in each manager and buyer category for small and large entities. The criterion utilized in evaluating nominees is posted on the MAPP website at www.mappi.org under the membership link. The awards will be presented at the Spring Conference. You are encouraged to nominate someone from your entity, another MAPP member, or even yourself. Please complete this form and return to Carmela Thornton (Carmela.thornton@oa.mo.gov) by Monday, March 21, 2011. Since most people are hesitant to nominate themselves, your nomination may be the only way these individuals are recognized for their contributions. Please don’t let their good deeds go unnoticed. Also, you can submit a nomination for each award category.

MAPP is proud to provide members with something new and convenient - the ability to pay annual membership dues online using all major credit cards. The "MAPP Store" is available in the "Membership" web page. This will provide members the ability to use their purchasing cards to pay dues for one person or for multiple personnel. When purchasing, make sure to fill out the box of the line-item with the name(s) of member(s) to which the annual dues are being paid for. Kyle Horst and Jason Finke have worked hard to create this reliable and safe means of online purchasing. In addition, the system is more efficient than processing checks and purchase orders, so we encourage members to try it out. Saving time and money, that's what we do. If all goes well we can perhaps look forward to paying for conference registration, among other things. Questions and comments can be sent to both kirksvillewebdesign@gmail.com and Jfinke@springfieldmo.gov. Find the link to the MAPP Store above in the navigation bar. |

The website is fully operational. I would like to thank Julie Lombard for her constant aid making the transition. When about a hundred document links were broken she sent me all the documents. I would also like to thank the board for their quick interest and adoption of the website. I appreciate the willingness to provide a little advertising for Kirksville Web Design.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with broken links, items you can't find, and suggestions: KirksvilleWebDesign@gmail.com.

Dear Fellow
MAPP Members:MoDOT recently executed a competitively solicited contract with
GovDeals, Inc. to provide on-line surplus auction services. This
contract
has a cooperative procurement clause that allows for any Missouri
governmental
entity to "piggyback" off the contract.
Annual Volume Discount Program: There is also
a rebate program that returns a portion of GovDeals' selling fees to the
entity. This rebate program is cumulative and the surplus sales of all
participating entities are counted in the total sales amount. GovDeals
has also made this program available to governmental entities in
Missouri that
are already using GovDeals.
If you are interested in using this COOP contract, please contact
GovDeals directly:
